The global cryptocurrency firm Binance has signed a deal with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. The deal has been made by Binance under which the platform will launch a non-fungible token (NFT) collection. The firm has announced that it will be launching a series of NFTs in association with football star which will be sold exclusively on the Binance platform. The firm says the initial collectorates will be made available by the end of this year. The move is aimed at introducing Ronaldo’s fans to Web 3, which will allow them to easily step into the world of NFT.

Binance founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao lauded Ronaldo’s achievements in the game and said that Ronaldo has crossed the level in the game that has now made him an icon for many industries. He said he has a dedicated fan base for Ronaldo’s authenticity, talent and charity work.

Zhao further said that the Binnes team is very excited to give Ronaldo’s fans a unique opportunity to join him. Ronaldo also commented on the partnership, saying, “The relationship I have with the fans means a lot. So it’s a great idea to bring the fans closer to me through NFT. I know fans will enjoy the NFT collection as much as I do.”

After this deal, Ronaldo has included himself in the list of athletes who have already joined the NFT. This includes many renowned players and sports entities. This is not the first time that Ronaldo’s name is going to be linked to cryptocurrencies. Earlier in March, Ronaldo was given crypto tokens as prizes for his contribution to the field of play. They were given juv tokens as prizes, the official fan token of Juventus FC. He was given a token for every senior career goal he scored.

Apart from this, the English Premier League (EPL) has also put two trademark applications to enhance their interaction with fans. Ronaldo currently plays in the English Premier League.
